Three armed bandits were yesterday burnt to death in Warri, Delta State by irate mob while two others were arrested by the police.
Daily Sun gathered that the incidents which took place at various locations caused pandemonium in the city for several hours.
Two of the bandits were killed at the Estate Round About between 6-7am, while the other gang member met his waterloo at the Emebiren Junction.
The robbers were set ablaze with tyres placed on their neck by the angry mob before the arrival of police team in the area.
Similarly, police team from ‘B’ Division also arrested two suspects who had allegedly been terrorising Warri metropolis and neighboring Effiurun and Ekpan communities in recent time.
Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Aniete Eyoh, who led the team to dismantle various hideouts of bandits, also apprehended cult boys believed to be harassing residents at Ogboru, Upper and Lower Erejuwa road and the Airport road axis.
The DPO also deployed plain clothes policemen to keep watch on various drinking joints where criminals always hatch their evil plans.
Meanwhile, normalcy has returned to Warri.
