It was gathered that the crash was as a result of  dangerous driving by the tanker driver, who suddenly lost control of the vehicle, leading to crash on the Dyna Pick-Up van that was parked by the roadside and two other vehicles, which were also affected by the fire.

The accident led to a serious traffic hold up at the ever busy Abuja- Lokoja Highway as motorists were stranded on the highway for hours before operatives of FRSC conducted traffic control to clear the hold up that had built-up.

The sector commander of the FRSC in the state, warns  drivers of articulated vehicles, especially those carrying flammable substances must always be cautious and drive within the regulated speed limit and, also, maintain all vehicles safety protocols, like the use of safety valves to prevent spillages of content in the event of a crash.
