The FCT Senator appreciates her constituents for their immense supports, prayers, as she promised more dividends of democracy. Her statement further reads in part: “Today, l heartily celebrate our people of the FCT for witnessing these last few hours of the fading year 2024 and wish us all the grace and mercy of God to witness the new year 2025 in sound health and great joy.
“As we await the new year, l urge us to stay safe and be hopeful of better days to come for our FCT and our great country, Nigeria, at large. As your representative, we shall unrelentingly continue to agitate for conscious and spirited effort that will give us a more befitting and habitable Federal Capital Territory. I urge us all to welcome these new ideas in appreciation that our representation shall ensure and foster more dividends of democracy.
As your Senator, we shall continue to protect and promote your interests. Your well-being and welfare we shall steadfastly prioritize. As a way of giving back to our people, we’ve tried to change the narrative of representation by constructing dilapidated and cratered roads, built and equipped health facilities, facilitated jobs for our jobless youths, built markets, installed streetlights, built boreholes, empowered our teeming youths and women, established our people in trade, sponsored bills to protect the rights of women and girl child. As a representative of the most sensitive constuency, I urge President Tinubu to continue to take up his responsibilities and be wary of who he appoints to the position of authority. With God on our side, we shall do more in the coming year.
On our part, l appreciate your huge support and promise more dividends of democracy in the coming year. Particularly for our women, we shall ensure that more legislations on the protection of their rights, provision for their needs and empowerment and participation in governance are realized in the coming year. Better and more glorious days are ahead in the new year. To our dear constituents, I heartily wish you all a happy and prosperous new year in advance.”
