Ahead of the 2023 general election, Mr Femi Ogunshola, a media practitioner from Ayedun in Oke-ero Local Government Area of Kwara State has declared his intention to run for the House of Representatives seat.
Ogunshola made this intention known at a ward meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ayedun community on Friday.
He said that it was imperative to seek the consent of the people in a bid to realise his ambition, adding that he chose to begin his campaign with the people at the grassroots because charity begins at home.
The House of Representatives aspirant said he knew the challenges facing the people was enormous but with support and cooperation of the people it would be overcome.
He added that it would be criminal to sit and continue to expect other persons to bring progress and development to the community without adding his own experience and goodwill.
He urged party faithful to shun politics of bitterness and pull-him-down syndrome, nothing that such brand of politics belong to the past.
Ogunshola assured the people that he would continue to consult other party leaders, youths and stakeholders in the constituency in a bid to realise his ambition.
He stressed that Ekiti, Irepodun, Isin and Oke-ero federal constituency would again witness unprecedented representation if given the chance at the green chambers.
