With less than 2 months to the 2023 African Games in Accra, Ghana, the African soccer governing body has handed Nigeria’s Flying Eagles and the Falconets automatic qualification tickets, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Both Nigerian sides got the tickets due to their past impressive performances in recent competitions.

The Flying Eagles finished third at the 2023 U-20 AFCON in Egypt and reached the fourth qualifying round of the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

Seven other teams that will join the Flying Eagles are Benin, Congo, Gambia, Senegal, South Sudan, Tunisia and Uganda.

Hosts Ghana, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Morocco, Senegal, Tanzania and Uganda will join the Falconets in the women event.
