…Festival now celebration of African culture
 The Eze Ndigbo Ghana, HRM Dr Chukwudi Ihenetu, elders and Igbo community in Ghana, would on the 15th of Sepember 2024, rolled out the drums to celebrate the Igbo Day/ New Yam festival 2024 in Ghana.
The Internationaly recognised event this year will attract over 15 thousand people from all walks of life.
In a statement made available from his Obi-Ukwu Obieziokwu palace in Ghana, HRM Dr Ihenetu said the festival is a celebration of African culture from Igbo culture point of view.
 HRM Ihenetu also urges everyone irrespective of tribe or country, so long they are African to attend the festival because apparently, “we are not just promoting Igbo culture, but we are promoting African culture. with the presence of kings and queens from all parts of Africa, it is now a full-blown African festival. As they come, they also showcased their own culture. Yoruba, Hausa, people from South South and our neighbouring African countries.
In his special commendation for the host country, Ghana, HRM Ihenetu said: “It is also a great blessing that Ghana people allow Igbo New Yam festival to be celebrated in their country. This is not surprising because. this country is a Pan African nation.”he said.
