SUSTAIN Agenda: Nita rallies more grassroots support for Sani

From Sola Ojo, Abuja

The Administrator of Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Hon Mrs Nita Byack George, called on residents to renew their commitment to Governor Uba Sani’s SUSTAIN manifesto on Wednesday.

Her call came as workers resumed work following the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

Nita, the only female local council leader in the state and second in the Northwest, pledged her local government’s continued support for both the state and federal APC-led administrations. She rallied collective support for the actualisation of the current administration’s objectives.

She noted that this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, coinciding with Christian Sabbath services, symbolised God’s love for all. She urged everyone to use the occasion to promote peaceful coexistence and religious understanding.

“The time and season in Nigeria’s democratic process call for genuine patriotism, commitment, and team spirit to overcome our collective socioeconomic challenges,” she said.

“As Muslim Ummah and Nigerian citizens, we must not allow these festivities to overshadow their significance and lessons for us as individuals and as a country.

“It is another opportunity for us to support our leaders, especially our Governor, Senator Uba Sani, who has been working tirelessly to ensure a peaceful and progressive Kaduna State.

“As we all know, Kaduna State has been experiencing a peaceful political atmosphere in which even members of the opposition parties have no option but to quietly join the fast-moving train so they are not left behind.

“It is undeniable that in the past year of this administration, Mr Governor has positively impacted every group in Kaduna State – children, youth, the elderly, persons with disabilities, pensioners, farmers, and the list goes on.”

Highlighting Governor Sani’s capacity and capability, she said: “Just recently, under the strict directives of His Excellency, we distributed maize, millet, and sorghum received from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) through the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) State Distribution Committee to various groups.

“Orphanage homes, boarding houses, persons with disabilities, internally displaced persons, widows, pensioners, the elderly, CAN, JNI, among others in Jaba LG, benefited from the distribution carried out by a 15-man Local Government Committee comprising critical community stakeholders and opinion leaders.

“With guidance from the Almighty God and your support, Governor Uba Sani’s administration will continue to make decisions that yield more dividends of democracy in the weeks, months, and years to come,” she prayed.
