The outgoing Commissioner of Police,Mr. Chris Aimionowane has disclosed that the most difficult moment in his career was climbing of Shera mountain in Jos, Plateau state during his training exercise as newly recruited Officers.
Aimionowane,who stated this during a send forth ceremony organised for him at Police Headquarters,to mark his departure from the Kebbi Police Command to Abuja,where he resume at Interpol as AIG,also said,the security situation in Kebbi has been normalize.
While responding to questions from newsmen, the new AIG said, ” my most difficult moment in my career was during my training at Shera Hill in Jos, Plateau state.
“There is something they call “escalading”, that’s mean,you have to climb to the top of the mountain and you have to come down. That was during my training anyway. That was a very difficult moment in my career.
“What I did was that,I have to use style to wait and observed others who were climbing the hill how they were doing it.
“So,when I realized that none of them fell or die,I told myself,I can do this. So,that was how I summoned courage and do it successfully”, he said.
Addressing officers of the command, Aimionowane said,the impression he was given before he assumed duty of Kebbi State CP was that the insecurity was worsen especially at the Kebbi South Senatorial district.
He said,with the support of the State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris,who had provided logistics to the security agencies to overcome few challenges faced,the insecurity in the state have been normalized.
While eulogizing the outgoing CP, Assistant Inspector General of Police(AIG) in charge of Zone 10 comprises of Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi State, AIG Abubakar Lawal Daura,a course mate of the former CP, described him as a hardworking man, discipline and dedicated to work.
He advised the police officers to emulate him by inculcate spirit of discipline, hardworking and dedication to duties,stressed that the sky would be their limits.
Collaborating the AIG views, Commissioner of Police,Sokoto State Command,Ali Hayatu Kaigama described the outgoing CP of Kebbi State as great brother whom they usually worked together,exchanges ideals and information in the course of their duties, stressed that,he would really missed his presence in the Zone.
The ceremony was attended by other sister security agencies,POWA,CPRC, Edo community in Kebbi State among others.
